Pop Culture: Making it Rigorous and Relevant, with Michelle Van Hoven

Explore the power of pop culture, an oft-neglected area of cultural relevance. Teachers will understand the significance of pop culture in shaping students' societal values, beliefs, and behaviors, and its connection to their daily lives. They will evaluate their own biases for and against the use of pop culture in relation to the NJSLS standards, and learn strategies for making it less about keeping up and more about making connections.

This virtual presentation will be shared asynchronously. Register by March 20th to receive a PD Certificate. The link to the video will be emailed to participants on March 23rd.
